Accupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional medicine, used in China and other Eastern cultures for thousands of years and now supported by modern clinical practise.  It involves the insertion of ultra-fine, single use sterile needles into specific points on the body. These points are chosen to influence the flow of Qi (energy) and restore harmony between body and mind.

During the treatment, most people experience a deep sense of relaxation. Many notice changes not only to their immediate symptoms but also their overall wellbeing - such as improved sleep, reduced stress, and enhanced energy levels. Each session is tailored to your unique presentation, taking into account both the condition you wish to address and your wider health picture.

Acupuncture may be used to help with a wide range of concerns, including muscular skeletal pain, stress and anxiety, hormonal balance, digestive issues, headaches, and general wellness support and maintenance.

Scientific research offers growing support for the use of acupuncture for a wide variety of conditions, from musculoskeletal pain to psycho-emotional issues.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a traditional technique used to ease muscular tension, improve circulation, reduce inflammation and support the body's natural healing processes. Using suction created by glass or silicon cups, the treatment lifts the tissue to increase the blood flow, stimulate the flow of Qi and release tightness and stagnation.

Cupping therapy can be especially helpful for pain, stress related tension and general well-being. Temporary marks may appear where the cups were placed, these usually fade within a few days. As with all treatments, sessions are tailored to your comfort level and individual needs.

Gua sha

Gua sha is a traditional technique that uses smooth edged tools to glide across the skin. This encourages circulation, releases muscle tension, and supports the body's natural healing response.

This treatment helps stimulate the flow of blood and Qi and reduces inflammation - removing toxins from the body. The technique may leave temporary marks on the skin- and expected part of the process and these typically fade within a few days. As always, treatment is adapted to your comfort level an individual health needs.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a traditional therapy that involves gently warming specific acupuncture points using dried mugwort (Artemisia Vulgaris) to support the body's natural healing processes.

The soothing heat helps to improve circulation of blood and Qi, ease pain and tension, and strengthen overall vitality. This comforting treatment can be used on its own or alongside acupuncture to enhance therapeutic effects, making it a valuable option for supporting pain, digestive health, women's health, immunity and general well-being.
